Warm, dense and resilient, Tasmanian Oak is a sustainable timber and the preferred hardwood for a wide range of applications. While Tasmanian Oak is one of the world's most valuable and widely-used native timbers, it is highly sustainable but not to be confused with the European Oak, Tasmanian Oak refers to the hardwood produced by three species – Eucalyptus regnans, Eucalyptus obliqua and Eucalyptus delegatensis, when sourced from Tasmania. It works extremely well and produces an excellent finish. It is also recognised for its excellent staining qualities, which means you could have some success matching with other timbers, finishes or furnishings.
