Journal Open

A love letter to those who create journals. I am inspired by artists whose journals are worn, overflowing and treasured with pages brimming with sketches, thoughts, and creativity.

Yet, I’ll admit… I struggle with the discipline of daily (or even weekly) journaling, and I guess I’m not alone. Life is busy, and while I’m constantly amazed by the work of talented creators, I often catch myself simply watching rather than doing. I become the queen of ‘pinning, saving, and screenshotting’ ideas for future projects (so creative... 🙄)

Part of taking on Honest Paper was to share my love of stationery and hopefully create a community around our quest for creativity, but I myself am making a commitment to myself to engage with some mindful journalling (perhaps with guided prompts?) in the morning and even reading something and making a small comment on it in my journal.. I think it will help me focus, not hit snooze but engage in some mindful living. If I say something was three months ago - bet your bottom dollar it was 9 months ago.... the calendar pages are flying off in the wind and I need to stop and really be present I suppose.

I thought I'd share some of my 'pins', those whose work I look at for inspiration. Obviously there are many journals and materials here for you to use, but that isn't what this post is about... It's about sparking some creativity and some things that bring us joy.

Here are some talents I follow - can you share yours below? (I'll 'approve' and they'll be visible below for us to engage with).

Happy Sunday, have a great week.
